Hand Painted Wooden Lazy Susan ~ Hedgerow Design

Sale price £54.40 Regular price £68.00

These wonderful wooden lazy Susan turntables are each hand painted with a charming botanical illustration.

They are very popular gifts, especially as you can have them made in people's favourite colours. They work well for birthdays and when you're wanting to treat someone as they settle into a new home.

They’re great as serving boards or in the middle of the table holding various dishes or condiments as you can turn them round for easy access. Use them as cake stands, or put them on display in the kitchen. Somehow they make whatever is on them look more spectacular.

We decorate each lazy Susan by hand; we use a unique process that Cathy developed herself. It's an adaptation of the screen printing process and it results in really rich, strong colours and sharp detailing. We print using a disposable screen so each design is laid out by hand and is unique.

As we hand print each item to order we like to have at least two weeks to make this for you, but we can usually accommodate rush orders of a few days if necessary. Send us a message with your order telling us when you need it by, or ask us now if you'd like to be sure before ordering. Postage costs are calculated when you checkout, but UK delivery on this item is usually £6.

We have 24 colours for you to select from - have a look through the photos to see what you like, and bear in mind that the design shows up quite subtly if you select one of the paler mid-tone colours.

The boards are made from solid birch with a metal fixing for the turntable and a rubber grip on the base. They’re about 39 cm in diameter, a little under 4 cm high and they weigh about 1.15kg.

They’re coated with two layers of a lovely lacquer. It’s very strong but has hardly any sheen so the paint feels nicely matt, the artwork is well protected from stains or oils in food and they can be washed up without issue. Don't put them through the dishwasher though, we don't think that would end well! And don't use knives on them as that can damage the lacquer.

Enjoy!
